2) When robins migrate, where do they go?

Answer will appear in the next couple of days Dan
Excellent question. I assumed once robins could not find worms anymore they migrated south, so I'm guessing they eat fruits and berries because I've never seen them eat seeds.
ReplyDeleteThe robins love our cherry trees. When the fruit is ripe, the trees "shake" with all the robins. We are left with just seeds dangling from the branches. We will still have robins during the winter if the weather is mild.

ReplyDeleteDan, good luck with your blog. One has to be selective in the blogs they read as the multiplicity of choices can become overwhelming. Your blog might be an exception and one I frequent. BTW, my answers: B/C
ReplyDeleteThanks Wayne. I get tons of e-mail and have to be selective also. I hope this will be so educational that you'll WANT to return frequently!
ReplyDeleteYou are picking up my curiosity with the robins so much I found the oldest robin ever found was 13 y/o and that their most feared enemy is the house cat. I can only do this because I am stranded at home and have time available.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a great job I will visit your blog as often as I can. I should let your readers know you are a very skillful squash player too.

Manny - I can tell you've got a lot of time on your hands. Actually (I believe) the oldest robin was 17 years old. I think it was a captive specimen.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is an inspiration and the kids did a great job doing these photos for you!
